WISHLIST!!!!!
It is 5.48am in the morning. I can’t sleep yet. I dunno why, but there’s something in my mind that stops me from turning into resting/sleeping mode. I’ve tried various methods to make sure I can get back my regular sleep cycle. Usually when I can’t sleep, there must be something that bothers me. Oh I really need to get my sleep cycle works again bcoz I’m tired to having fall asleep when the sun rise and wakes up later in the evening when the sun almost sets (LOL).
Anyway, let’s just hope that one day I will get back my usual cycle soon. Oh my I’m pretty bored at the moment (sigh). Hmm, talking about wishlist, almost everyone of us have their own dream that they wanna fulfill. The same goes to me. Every year, there is always at one point in my life where I’m “dreaming” to have something that makes my life complete. Last year for example, my wishlist was to own a blackberry and be part of the berry community. Voila! By the end of April 2009, I bought my 1st ever blackberry (planning to change soon I think :p) soon after I finished the last paper. Am I satisfied? YES! Do I feel complete? NOPE!
So this year, the same eager feeling strikes me again. Before I go any further, lemme remind u that IM NOT A HARDCORE GAMER. I repeat, IM NOT A HARDCORE GAMER. Having said that, the inner side of me tells me that I should reward myself with a new gadget ( oh ya, I’m a tech junkie :p) after I complete my 3rd year. Thus, I have this thought of owning a gaming console - xBox 360!!
You can say that I’m pretty much outdated since the new hype in gaming arena is ps3 slim. However, what triggers me to get this console as my “present” is bcoz THE PRICE IS CHEAPER NOWADAYS. Furthermore, when the xbox was initially introduced in late 2005, there were so many complaints on the hardware reliability - the so called RED RING OF DEATH (RROD). As for later production (starting from 2007) this issue has been pretty much solved by Microsoft.
Well, the chances of the unit becomes faulty again is still exists but it has been minimised. Since I’m a not a hardcore gamer, I can expect that the chances for me to experience this problem is most unlikely. This is because, excessive gaming causes overheating of the unit and thus RROD. Casual gamer like me won’t (I hope) face this kind of issue.
Here’s the verdict. With its current price of Rs. 16k, I feel that it is affordable and won’t be a waste if I get one. Samsung 20” lcd monitor only priced at Rs. 8k and combining the cost for those two won’t be much problem either. So I will go for it!
Oh on top of that, I do have a psp which I bought last year and still playing it sometimes ( Dissidia FF is the game I’m playing at the moment). PSP is portable, but when I’m at home after class, I need a better gaming rig. My gf did suggest I’m using pc for gaming since I can do more than games if I own a pc. But one thing that stops me from buying a pc, is I need to get the hardwares from Malaysia. I hate to travel with lots of things in hand. I rather keep it as minimum as possible. So, owning a pc is already out of topic.
So let see if my dream comes true next year. I will do more cover up soon! Stay tuned!
p/s: I’m done writing, but still can’t sleep yet T_T
