::madness unleash!!!::
Hello again!! Ok, let’s do a quick summary of what happen since the last post on my tumblr. Here it goes.
Ramadhan, a month full of “keberkatan” have passed so does syawal. Alhamdulillah, the whole month I was fasting but the last day I didn’t make it through thanks to the cockroach I found in my curry during the morning meal. I threw up few hours after that and I swear I won’t order anything from briyani hut again. Hmm, so I need to replace the one day I lost. Well, shit happens sometimes :p
Then, on syawal, eventhough I did mention that I was not going home for “lebaran” but in the end, due to intense pressure, I did buy the ticket home on a last minute decision. It was a close call, since it was hard to find a ticket during that time but I managed to get one (and it was cheap too ^_^). Finally, I safely landed in my homeland (malaysia) and had a blast raya this year.

After giving some thoughts on xbox, I’ve finally decided not to get one. Well, even if I do wanna have an xbox, maybe not so soon. For me, as a whole, I’m not a hardcore gamer, so psp should fulfill my gaming needs and I don’t need a heavier rig for that. So, I will pass xbox.
Recently, I updated my curve os to the latest OS leak which is v 5.0.1.230 (you can find the link at crackberry.com) and the love for my phone builds up again. Everything seems to work so great in this build (threaded sms, msn n fb seems to work but the only down part of it is it doesn’t come with BBM 5.0 and it won’t work even if u download it separately).
Somehow, even though my current curve (its 8900 if u wonder which curve I’m talking about), I think I wanna change for a new berry. The one I had in my mind now is blackberry storm. Before this I really hate the storm because it tries to compete with the iphone and I do hate the fact that the screen is not really responsive (the accelerometer is pretty lousy for a 20th century phones), but on 2nd thought it can be fixed by installing a better version of the os.
Thus, having that in mind, I wanna opt for a full touch screen phone. So, here where my problem starts. Should I get the current storm or wait for the storm 2 to be available (which is expected to be out around mid october). The major difference between storm 1 n storm 2 is that the next storm will have WiFi. But come to think of it again, WiFi won’t serve any purpose in my life since if u r on a 3G connection alone, ur surfing experience should be seamless. But hey, in india (especially bangalore, my current location) 3G service is still not available yet. So, I will just stay on EDGE. But yet again, the speed of 3G surfing is debatable in the sense that, what kind of carrier u r on. So more or less its not a good indicator for internet connection.
Having a 3G phone would serve a proper future prospect. When I’m done with my studies in india, I can use the storm in malaysia where 3G connection is already available. WiFi addition would be a bonus if its available, but streaming on a 3G won’t be an issue after all. My point of justification is that, even in india, when I surf the net on EDGE, I still can get a pretty good connection. Well, I don’t really use my curve for internet connection, I just fully utilise it for msn, ym, emails and also facebook. So, I don’t really care much about the network speed.
Apart from that, I fully use my curve for ebook and powerpoint viewing. So, a bigger screen is a plus for that. Having said so, I’m still thinking whether I should go for the new storm (which gonna be costly since its a new model) or should I just go for a decent 1st gen storm (I will have to update its OS to have a better experience with the phone). Oh, maybe since I do lots of texting, its really important to have a responsive “clicking” on my screen. And that can only be achieved on the new storm.
Alright, so the verdict goes to storm 2. Hopefully by march or april next year its gonna be available in india. If it doesn’t still, either I buy it in singapore or malaysia. Storm 2 FTW!!!
P/S: goodbye xbox :p
