:: blackberry wars!! ::

ok recently i just noticed the usage of blackberry devices has increased among my friends who majority are students.

its kinda intresting that youngsters nowadays realised how does a blackberry phone can change their views on mobile technology. frist of, blackberry are way much lousier compare to any other current mobile devices.

there are so many issues documented on its software. laggy, unresponsive at certain times and slow browser. despite all that, no phones can challenge the blackberry experience and its definition of today’s mobility needs.

blackberry are well known for its popular push email services and on-the-go online experience. heavy email users (and also IM users like myself) really appreciate its ability to stay connected 24/7.

eventhough blackberries dont have a pleasing user interface ( like animated screen transitions, up to date user navigation system), but they do deliver an excellent messaging needs.

today, blackberries are ranked 2nd among popular smartphones and RIM has reported in increase in the sales of its products. furthermore, the launching of new OS 5.0 will benefits more blackberry users and fixed bugs from previous OS.

lets take the storm for example. despite the implentation of sure press clickable screen, it does lag and unresponsive and a person who use it for the 1st time need to take a while getting used to typing on its on screen keyboard. with the new OS, the storm has a better performance and the whole experience of using storm has become more pleasant.

the future blackberry devices such as onyx, storm 2, dakota and magnum will definitely please the current trend of mobile markets. RIM has taken a giant leap from its past success towards winning the heart of consumers.

there are many 3rd party applications for blackberry users to choose to and it grows everyday. serious mobile users (especially businessman who needs to stay connected 24/7) will definitely won’t live in despair any longer. the emergence of latest 3rd party apps will also fulfill their non-business needs.

games, themes and personal manager apps are produced everyday to fulfill this demand. so blackberry users will not be left behind in terms of additional apps.

all in all, blackberry are not only meant for businessman. normal consumer can also get the benefits from it. blackberry has become a trend now. its no longer a simple mobile phones nor a messaging device. its a must for everyone who needs to communicate all the time.

as a round up, i would like to welcome my friends to be part of blackberry communities. here goes the list:

1) pakden = bold 9000
2) raihan = curve 8900
3) farid nazmi = storm
4) azizi ali = future storm (storm 2 perhaps?)
5) your truly (me) = curve 8900

for those who plan to get a blackberry, remember this point. if u wanna use it only for calls and text messaging, get a normal phones (bcoz blackberry in general are expensive). BUT if u rely on emails, IMs, facebook, twitter all the time, then get a blackberry. blackberry is not meant to be shown off to other people that u have the ability to buy, BUT its a device for serious communication needs.

if u only plan to show off to your friends that u have money to get this phone, i would suggest u buy iphone or other WinMo devices that are way better in terms of user interface and multimedia experience. blackberry are for serious people who NEED the device, not just a toy to play with.

p/s: i’m currently planning to get a storm, but should i just wait for the 2nd storm OR get the current storm and update its OS. hmmmm… :p
